In Babylonian astronomy, the constellation was called UR.GU.LA, the ‘Great Lion’. Celestial is a term referring to heavenly bodies such as stars, constellations, and planets, named after mythical deities & creatures. Since ancient times the names of celestial bodies have been passed on with their myths and are still with us today. From the Latin word ‘caelestis’ sky.
